Altair, Ecrio and Lantiq demo LTE multiservice gateway over live 4G LTE network

USA: At the 2013 International CES show, Altair Semiconductor, Ecrio Inc. and Lantiq announced the successful collaboration and demonstration of a 4G LTE IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) powered LTE multiservice gateway product, including voice over LTE (IMS/VoLTE) functionality.

This LTE multiservice gateway integrates the LTE module for delivering IMS based and fixed mobile broadband multimedia services to residential and enterprise SOHO (small office home office) and SMB (small and medium business) users.

The gateway allows users to enjoy simultaneous multiple services over the 4G LTE network, and allows mobile operators to leverage the high bandwidth to deliver a range of value-added services, such as broadband Internet access, video streaming over multiple channels, and rich multimedia communication services.

Altair is providing their  4G LTE pre-certified FourGee LTE modem chipset and LTE software stack which is used for the Verizon Network connectivity of the gateway solution.

Ecrio is providing its 4G LTE pre-certified embedded FlexIMS Mobile Communications Client Suite (MCCS) for LTE, facilitating the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) enabled device software and value added services functions for integration into the LTE gateway.

Lantiq is providing the gateway chipset, consisting of the XWAY GRX388 as the main CPE network processor with integrated Wi-Fi MAC and Baseband, the Wi-Fi RF chip XWAY WRX312 and the Smart SLIC. In addition, Lantiq also provides its Universal Gateway software suite (UGW).
