Wireless Innovation Forum announces White Space Communications summit

WASHINGTON, USA: The Wireless Innovation Forum (SDR Forum version 2.0), a non-profit organization dedicated to driving the future of radio communications and systems worldwide, announced that it will host a White Space Communications Summit: Driving Growth Through White Space Innovations, on June 7 in Washington, DC.

Convened by industry stakeholders to discuss the current state of the emerging market for TV Band and other White Space Devices, this Summit will highlight market demand, industry interest, and progress towards deployment. The event presents multiple industry perspectives and provides discussion on outstanding issues together with plans for how to move forward.

“The WInn Forum is very pleased to be hosting its fifth summit on this important topic in wireless communications,” said Bruce Oberlies, Sr. Director of Advanced Technology in the CTO Office of Motorola Solutions and Chair of the Forum.

“We believe that this provides the perfect opportunity for anyone interested in the broader TVWS community to have conversations about what the 'white space' ecosystem looks like now, how it is evolving, when 'white spaces' will roll out, when the technologies will be ready, when products will be deployed, what progress has been made in trials and deployments, and how we can measure commercial success.”
