AutoNavi further penetrates Android market with Motorola tablet partnership

BEIJING, CHINA: AutoNavi Holdings Ltd, a leading provider of digital map content and navigation and location-based solutions in China, announced that the company's 3-D Navigation and MiniMap applications have been pre-installed on Motorola's first tablet, the MOTO XOOM, which was officially launched in China on March 31, 2011.

MOTO XOOM is compatible with the Android 3.0 operating system and is equipped with a 2X1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of express RAM. The pre-installment marks the first time AutoNavi's applications have been made available on an Android 3.0-operated tablet as well as AutoNavi's first collaboration with Motorola's tablet business. This new cooperation is an expansion of the Company's existing partnership with Motorola, a partnership through which AutoNavi pre-installs its Navigation and MiniMap apps on Motorola's mobile handsets.

AutoNavi's chief executive officer, Congwu Cheng, commented: "The launch of our first applications on Android 3.0-operated tablets and our selection as a partner for Motorola's first tablet demonstrate the quality and reliability of our navigation and mapping applications and further enhance AutoNavi's leading position in China's location-based solutions market. Our more user-friendly navigation applications and customized solutions combined with Motorola's MOTO XOOM tablet leverage the technical expertise of the two companies to deliver value-added products that benefit end-users in their daily lives."

He added: "In 2011, we expect to further penetrate the Android market with our location-based solutions across a broad range of Internet-enabled devices, including tablets. As we move towards the delivery of a location-based media platform, our digital map database and proprietary technologies provide the foundation for developing unique and innovative applications and solutions that should drive continued expansion of our already rapidly growing user base."

Motorola's VP and GM of Asia Product Management, Bin Shen, remarked: "AutoNavi has been a valuable partner in the past and we are pleased to collaborate with them on our first tablet. We have positioned the MOTO XOOM as an evolutionary tablet. Along with outstanding design, compatible with the Android 3.0 operating system, the MOTO XOOM aims to provide a better overall experience with user-friendly applications and rich content. By utilizing AutoNavi's comprehensive points of interest (POI) information in combination with high-definition viewing and other tablet-specific services, we believe the MOTO XOOM will be well received by consumers."

AutoNavi's Navigation app provides a 3-D user experience that takes full advantage of the MOTO XOOM's 3-D accelerator, independent graphics card and 10-inch screen. The Company's mapping application, MiniMap, combines basic mapping functions, such as search, routing and real-time traffic information with comprehensive in-depth POI data.

Along with tailored POI's for Motorola's Service Centers, the MiniMap on MOTO XOOM also provides channels to certain third party service providers with dynamic content such as hotel services, real estate services, group-buying services and many others. With the MOTO XOOM, users can also view POIs and directions with augmented reality and share location-based information on micro-blogs.
