Communology announces social network app for Windows Phone 7

COLOGNE, GERMANY: Communology, a company specializing in mobile application development, announced the availability of LiveMedia Mobile Mash-Up for Windows Phone 7, the company’s first solution for Microsoft’s new smartphone OS.

Like all LiveMedia solutions, it streamlines the process of developing clients with innovative features and great user interfaces.

Thanks to the new LiveMedia Mobile Mash-Up solution and the app developers at Communology, VZnet Netzwerke Ltd. was able to offer the first fully featured German social networking app for Windows Phone 7 devices. VZnet (Berlin) operates the popular networks www.schuelervz.net, www.studivz.net and www.meinvz.net, with 17.4 million users altogether.

The community client shows the advantage of Communology’s app development platform approach, which not only reduces time to market and development costs. It also increases the software quality and enables companies to offer apps for new OS from the very beginning.

”Communology has provided us with a feature-rich, user-friendly high-performance app for Windows Phone 7 and has proven to be a reliable partner in mobile software development“, said Dr. Clemens Riedl, CEO VZnet Netzwerke.

“We think Windows Phone 7 has a great market potential and are pleased to present our first solution for Microsoft’s new smartphone OS. Mobile social networking requires very demanding features that need sophisticated development skills and knowledge about the integration of device components such as the camera or GPS. With our new LiveMedia Mobile Mash-Up version, Communology provides a pre-packaged solution that enables social network operators to offer apps for Windows Phone 7 quickly”, said Thomas Kaehler, CEO of Communology.
