Loop Telecom dials in first call from Karnataka and Kerela

MUMBAI, INDIA: Loop Telecom today announced its first call in Karnataka and Kerela as it gears up to extend its presence across the country.

Loop Telecom is the first amongst new GSM operators to have started operations in these two states. Last month, Loop Telecom had started its operations in Tamil Nadu & Orissa. The services will be available under the brand name Loop Mobile.

Loop Telecom is among the new mobile services companies to be awarded licensees to operate across 21 circles by DoT. The company, as part of its Pan-India rollout has achieved its plans of soft launch in five states that were scheduled for mid June. The sequence of circles launch is in sync with the sequence of the spectrum allocation.

Sanjeev Chachondia, CEO, Loop Telecom said: "We are aggressive in pursuing our plans to expand presence across the country. We have successfully launched our services in Tamil Nadu and Orissa and now are present in Karnataka and Kerela too.

"The network is performing well and we have received an encouraging response from the select group of people testing the network. Subsequently, we will roll out a wider range of network coverage and services with the same momentum. Plans are in full swing for a commercial launch shortly."

While talks for infrastructure and bandwidth sharing with other telcos are in advanced stages, Loop Telecom has entered into roaming arrangements with other telecom operators, to ensure subscribers enjoy uncompromised network coverage across the country.

Loop Telecom had recently given an order to ZTE, a leading technology provider, for its network infrastructure.

With Loop Telecom’s launch efforts now getting into high gear, mobile users in the country will soon be in for a range of value added and innovative mobile phone services and products.

Loop Mobile (Mumbai) being the longest standing service provider and the pioneer in the telecom space has set out to establish the same connect in other circles with Loop Telecom.
